Basics:

Before i start teaching you what is an adverbs of frequency i would like to ask you . Adverbs Of Frequency Definition:

  • The Definition Is - "It Tells how often anything happens" - Or - We Use adverb of Frequency To Show the frequency (How Many Times) any action happens
  • To Show the frequency we use these words -> Always , Frequently , usually , often , sometimes, rarely , hardly , hardly ever , never . ever etc
For Example : They always Speak English

So As You can see in this Example always is the adverbs of frequency because if we just say They Speak English This is also fine but the word always is telling the frequency (Means: How many times any action happening) So In Easy words we can say that "We Use adverb of Frequency To Show the frequency Means (How Many Times) any action happens" For your better understanding iam giving you one ex He sometimes play football - so the Sometimes is the adverb of Frequency because in this example it is showing the Frequency now you may be thinking how to use above mentioned words like (Always , Sometimes etc) so don't worry about it because i have explained those words in detail right after the lecture videos So please scroll down to see them

  2. Usually
  3. Frequently
  4. Often

  7. Hardly
  8. Hardly ever
  9. Ever
  10. Never

1) Always - 100%

Definition:

  • We use always to show any thing happens 100% percent or 100 times
    Ex: He always speak english - So in this example always is showing that he never speak another language (you can also take as like may be he doesn't know any other language therefore he everytime speaks english Still any problem don't worry i give you one more example "Water always boil at 100'C " yes its right because every time we boil water its takes 100'C neither high nor low same and it is same everywhere
  1. I always Speak English
  2. He always speak truth
  3. Water always boil at 100'C
  4. Brain always control our body
  5. She always forget my name

2) Usually - 90%

Usage:

  • Usually is used to show any thing happens 90% percent / times
    Ex: He usally speak english - So in this example usally is showing that - He speaks english but not every time may be he knows any other language which he uses 10% in his speaking understand one more example He usally tells a lie - > so it does not mean everytime he tells a lie it means he is a very person but 2 or 3 times he tells a lie not every time

  2. They usally come to my house
  3. We usally take eggs in our breakfasts
  4. He usally drop my phone
  5. She usally eat with us

3) Frequently - 80%

Usage:

  • We use Frequently to show any thing happens 80% percent
    Ex: He Frequently smokes - So in this example Frequently is showing that he smokes so much but there is a sometimes when he does not smoke may when he in the office and he is not allowed to smoke therefore he does not smoke at that time so whenever we want to show this kind of action which happens 80% per we use frequently

  1. I frequently do programming
  2. They frequently ask me about my work
  3. In our area water comes frequently
  4. He frequently learn vocabs
  5. She frequently use my name

4) Often - 70%

Definition:

  • We use often to show any thing that happens 70% percent
    Ex: They often try to make something for me - in this ex often is showing that they don't always make something for but they get time like once in week or when they are free then they make otherwise not always

Examples:

  1. They often talk to me
  2. She Often cook
  3. He often make fun of us
  4. We often go to his office
  5. We often Complete her Work

5) Sometimes - 50%

Definition:

  • We use sometimes to show any thing happens 50% percent - not 100% Ex - She sometimes applies good quality make-Up - means whenever go to party or in any function out of 100 functions She looks good only in 50 functions ok if still facing problem take one more to clear ex - She sometimes forget my name its means whenever we meet she calls my name but either because of memory or something else she asks what is your name?

Examples:

  1. She sometimes applies good quality make-Up
  2. She sometimes Talk with him
  3. He sometimes talk with them
  4. He sometimes complete his Work
  5. She sometimes forget my name

6) Rarely - 35%

Usage:

  • Rarely is to show any thing happens 35% percent

Exercises:

  1. He rarely Writes a letter
  2. It rarely take time
  3. Water rarely make our Skin good
  4. We rarely eat together
  5. She rarely remember me

7) Hardly - 25%

Usage:

  • We use Hardly to show any thing happens 25% percent or times
Ex:
  1. He hardly study
  2. It hardly Connect
  3. They hardly buy Laptops
  4. We hardly do exercise
  5. We hardly eat Eggs

8) Hardly ever - 10%

Usage:

  • We use hardly ever to show any thing happens 10% percent

Ex:

  1. I hardly ever talk to her
  2. We hardly ever meet
  3. They hardly ever follow us
  4. She hardly ever give us advice
  5. He hardly ever praises her

9) Ever - 1%

Usage:

  • We use ever to show any thing happens 1% percent

Examples:

  1. He ever listen Songs
  2. He everb smokes
  3. They ever drink

10) Never - 0%

Definition:

  • We use never to show any thing happens 10% percent or not even one time

Exercises:

  1. She never agree with us
  2. They never read books
  3. He never tells a lie
  4. He will never get the first position
  5. I never give up
